ABOUT THIS WINE:

La Douleur Exquise

La Douleur Exquise

Grenache

We are so excited to be welcoming Le Douleur Exquise back to the club. This stunning Grenache is a fantastic wine to come back with. It’s complex and multilayered with flavors that keep unfolding with each new sip. We love the ripe fruit a lot, but even better are the hints of minerality, earthy herbs, and black olives. It’s truly a wine that tastes like the sun-drenched parts of the south of France. This wine is very food-friendly and will pair well with just about anything. We suggest wild game or a freshly seared duck breast. Judges love it too! It took home 91 Points and a Gold medal from the International Eastern Wine Competition!

WINE REGION:

Outline of France

France

While it was not the first country to master winemaking, no other country has determined the course of wine and wine culture as much as France. From the sparkling wines of Champagne to the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of Burgundy; from Bordeaux's sumptuous blends to Alsace's Riesling; and from the Loire Valley's Sauvignon Blancs to exciting new regions like Pays d'Oc in the south, France has given the world nearly all the major styles and grape varieties that dominate what we drink today. There are numerous reasons why France and wine are so inextricably linked, but perhaps the foremost is geography. Few places can rival France's unique array of hot and cool-climate regions and the abundant maritime influences and mountainous terrain found throughout the country.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

La Douleur Exquise

As the French Proverb states, "there are two great pleasures in gambling; that of winning and that of losing." Even to the seasoned winemaker, each vintage presents unique challenges concerning not only Mother Nature but everything leading to the finished bottle. However, much like the greatest players, the finest winemakers spend countless hours studying and honing their craft to minimize risk. La Douleur Exquise embraces this labor of love. We capitalize on the wins of each vintage by utilizing the learnings of our past, making each of our wines a sure bet.
