ABOUT THIS WINE:

Acadine

Acadine

Cabernet Sauvignon

In Greek Mythology, Acadine was a magical fountain that could tell dreamers if their wishes really came from the heart. It was a place where people went to learn about themselves. We feel that the Acadine wine follows the spirit of its namesake- it really is a dream come true for us. While it is a perfect fireside sipper for this winter, you can also store it in your wine library for the next 3-5 years. When you do open it up, be ready to enjoy the beautiful, dusty notes of blackberry and herbs alongside whatever hearty dish you choose. Judges love this wine too. It took home a Silver Medal at the 2020 West Coast Wine Competition and a bronze medal at the 2018 Harvest Challenge and the 2019 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

WINE REGION:

Outline of California

California

California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.

This wine is a fantastic fireside sipper that opens up over time. We think that the beautiful, dusty notes of blackberry and herbs will pair well with hearty meals: think stews, risottos, and red meat.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

Acadine

In Greek mythology, Acadine was a magical fountain described by the historian Diodorus Siculus. As writings were thrown into the fountain, they would float to the top if genuine; if dishonest, they would sink to the bottom where they were devoured by Hades. Each of our wines reveals the truth of its varietal. These pure, expressive creations, too, carry a sense of enchantment that seeks to be savored and begs to be shared.
